CHURCH HISTORY
It is the Mission of True Revelations Ministries to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ, as he commanded, to all people. We will tell the Gospel full and free so that all can be saved and filled with the precious gift of the Holy Ghost. We teach all people the True Word of God and ask God for complete understanding so the truth of His mysteries can be revealed.
We behold a vision of a “full service” ministry. True Revelations Ministries will be a place where all the spiritual and natural needs of the people are met. Our vision is to provide residence, social assistance, and any and every resource the people may need. The vision is to be whole as Christ was and is whole. After each encounter, Christ told people that “Ye are made whole.” An encounter with Christ is the key to the access of the Kingdom of God.
VISION
True Revelations Ministries was founded by Pastor and Prophetess Harold and Latanya Taylor in June of 2007. Founded underneath the “non-denominational” doctrine, TRM became a traveling ministry. Both Pastor and Prophetess were actively helping other ministries grow at the time of founding. God made it so that as other churches grew, TRM became more and more recognized in the Metro Detroit Area. In 2010, the first Truth Revealed Bible Study occurred and was the answer to so many prayers. As the Holy Spirit sees fit, the ministry continues to grow and flourish in the Will of God. Membership hs grown and the ministy is currently looking for a facility.
STATEMENT OF FAITH
We believe that the Word of God (Bible) is the guideline for believers in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Within in the Word are the revelations that God wants us to know. By faith we uncover the secrets of the Word, by Wisdom we discover the hidden treasures that God has for us, and by Force we recover what was lost by Adam and what Christ came to return. We do all of these using the gifts and fruits of the Spirit. These are the True Revelations of God.
INITIAL BELIEFS
• God is a “Triune God.” That there is God the Father, God The Son and God the Holy Ghost. Jesus is the son of God who had no sin. That he came into this sinful world, born of a virgin. That He was crucified and died for my sins and rose 3 days later. He will come back again someday.
The Holy Ghost is the spirit of God left here until Christ returns.
• All aspects of the Holy Ghost are necessary: fruits of the spirit (Galatians 5) and the gifts of the spirit (1 Corinthians 12)
• Every word of the Bible is true
• Salvation comes from accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, while confessing this boldly to others. The confession and repenting of your sins to God is essential to salvation.
PRACTICES
• Baptism of water in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost whose name is Jesus, God, Emanuel, etc. (Baptism with total emersion.)
• Baptism of the fire of the Holy Ghost with evidences being: speaking in other tongues, prophecy, miracles, signs, and other wonders,
• The ministry of laying on of hands (other demonstrations of healing and deliverance)
• Paying of tithes (10% of income, time, thoughts)
• Paying of offering (anything above the tithe)
• Five fold ministry: Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers (Ephesians 4:11)
• Intercessory prayer
• Fasting
EXPECTIATIONS
• 1 on 1 relationship with God
• The working of miracles signs and wonders
• Spreading the Gospel of Christ
• Studying of the scriptures
• Living holy
• Spiritual growth
